Castelmola

The history of Mylé (Mola) is of the same period as that of Taormina. Castelmola takes place at the top of a hill overlooking the sea, on a big rock.
Castelmola is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Among its jewels there are the mosaic's roads, the staircase of reddish brown roofs among agave, aloe, prickly pears and bushes that smell of capers.

Going into the heart of Castelmola new surprises draw the attention: portals made up of carved lava stone , seasonal flowers filling balconies, shops offering craft products. In this special atmosphere you can feel comfortable and happy by eating an ice cream, a typical dessert, a good meal or the famous almond wine of the area.
